Wleń – the palace on Winigórska street 11 in Wleń, currently a hotel

The palace in Wleń was constructed in the Kleppelsdorf hamlet in the 16th century. Between around 1653 and 1662, the structure was rebuilt for Adam von Koulhaus. It was enlarged in the 18th century and in the second half of the 19th century.

It was built on a square plan, it is a two-bay structure with the wings situated more to the south. It is topped with a four-side mansard roof with shed dormers. The barrel and the cross vaulting have survived in many of the halls on the ground floor . The two-tier yard elevation is very interesting, as a two-span arcade is placed there. Its ogival, flat arcades are bolstered on the columns with cup capitals. Two rectangular sandstone tables are located between the arcades. On the tables one can find 8 bas-relief coats-of-arms of the: Czedlitz, Gersdorf, Gotschen, Binde, Seidlitz, Kelrichen and Ratzke families.

A small landscape park is situated south of the palace.

Currently the palace houses a guesthouse, which offers double, triple and four-person rooms. The guesthouse is now under renovation.

Many tourist trails go through the town, i.e. the Piast Castles Trail, E3 European long distance path and the Dolina Bóbr’ (Valley of the Bóbr River) Euroregional Cycling Route
